The buildings sit within a mature woodland within the floodplane of the river kennet.

The site is a disused quarry and is now a conservation area.

The houses are designed to be prefabricated from renewable resources and erected from transporters on site, with a minimal footprint and intervention.

The buildings have heat reclamation systems from the lakes, brown water recycling, green roofs, controlled internal environment + passive solar gain.

The whole development is raised above the flood plane with a new road infrastructure acting as a causeway.
